Dr. Kelly Cobb and her Nouriche team are excited to be the only practice in Louisiana to offer the most advanced liposuction procedure available.
Body jet lipo is an innovative, water-assisted liposuction technique. During body jet lipo, a spray of water is used in order to loosen and prepare excess fat cells for removal. Traditional liposuction techniques manually break fat cells apart, which can lead to tissue trauma. Body jet lipo loosens the fat cells and flushes them out without damaging them. Why Body Jet?
Body-Jet Lipo Differences and Advantages:
- Water-Jet Method
Fluid dislodges fat, not brute force
- Local anesthesia
Less risk
- Efficient fluid management
Less bloating and swelling; accurate results
- New liposuction technique
Requires less time to perform
- Gentle fluid spray
Minimal bruising and short recovery
How It Works
During body jet lipo, a thin, fan-shaped jet is channeled into fat tissue. The jet gently dislodges fat cells from connective tissue by using pulses of anesthetic fluid. The fat cells are simultaneously suctioned from the area in a gentle manner. Exposure to tumescent fluid is reduced when the body jet lipo technique is used. As such, the results can be seen immediately after the procedure is completed.
Advantages
Body jet lipo is the first liposuction technique that allows fat to be immediately transferred to other parts of the body, such as the buttocks or face. The fat transfer can be performed while the patient is awake.
Compared to traditional liposuction techniques, body jet lipo has minimal risk and shorter operating time. Furthermore, it has a reduced correction rate, more accurate contours, and a better intra-operative assessment. Owing to its gentleness, body jet lipo can be performed on multiple areas of the body at the same time.
The body jet lipo procedure produces minimal swelling during and after the procedure because of its contouring precision. There is also a reduced risk of skin dimpling, skin laxity, and irregular skin surfacing. General anesthesia and heavy sedation are not required.
What to Expect after the Procedure
There is very little discomfort after body jet lipo, and most patients are free of pain four days after the procedure. Typically, patients can resume their normal activities after one day.
The results of body jet lipo are excellent. With the introduction of body jet lipo, there is truly no reason for men and women to endure the discomfort and risks associated with traditional liposuction.
